A message from the Rotary Club of Hopkinsville:
Since 1950, due to the generous support of community donors, funds raised during The
Hopkinsville Rotary Auction has provided over $11 million in student loans to local area
students to further their post-high school education. Proceeds from the 2026 Rotary Auction
will support the Rotary Scholars program, which sends local students to Hopkinsville
Community College tuition-free; the Hopkinsville Rotary Foundation, which funds grants to
various youth-based organizations; and the Rotary Impact program, which funds 4-year college
costs for students who commit to work locally upon graduation. Since the Rotary Scholars
Since the program's inception in 2012, it has enabled over 1,700 students to participate in this endeavor.
In 2021, the Hopkinsville Rotary Foundation was launched, and since then have given over
$275,000 in targeted and intentional grants to various non-profits serving the youth of Christian
County. In 2026, we will continue this practice by awarding 16 grants to community non-profit
profits! In 2022, the Rotary Impact program was developed to build a workforce and talent
pipeline through scholarship programs in focused areas of vocation, including: teaching,
agriculture, healthcare, business, and STEM.
Scheduled for April 20-25 at the War Memorial Building (1202 S. Virginia Street) in downtown
Hopkinsville, this year's Rotary Auction plans to return with the usual diner, sweet shop, and in-
person viewing/bidding. This year's theme- The Spirit of '76- honors the spirit of dedication and
determination that American Patriots demonstrated in 1776 when fighting for Independence,
while also celebrating the spirit of service that has led this community to support youth and
educational efforts for the past 75 years. No matter if the scholars desire to go to college or get
a technical education through a skilled trade certificate - YOUR donations are where careers are
born, self-sufficiency begins, and dreams are realized.
Enjoy our "Big Board" online auction that will conclude on the final night of the Auction -
Saturday, April 25th.
Supporters can listen on 98.7 FM, view the live stream on www.HopkinsvilleRotary.com, or
Hopkinsville Rotary Facebook page, YouTube Channel, or watch on the Spectrum Cable channel
376.
The financial support of our donors not only makes a significant difference in the lives of
Christian County students, but it also works to improve the overall quality of the available
workforce and build for our community's future.
Over the years, this annual auction has grown into one of the largest single-event fundraisers in
all of Rotary International, so we hope you'll Bid High and Bid Often in April!
